- Surf shoes or shoes that can get wet (thick soles required)

From what age can children learn to wingsurf?

We offer wingsurfing lessons for all ages. The only requirement is a swimming certificate! With both the Veerse Meer and the sea right on our doorstep, we always choose our location to suit the participant.

What months of the year do you teach wingsurfing?

April t/m oktober!

We try to start in April, whether it will be warm enough by then depends entirely on the weather! In October we will see how long the temperature is pleasant. You can just book, if it is not possible because of temperature or conditions we will let you know.

How many people are involved in a group wingsurfing lesson?

In a group lesson in wingsurfing we look at the level of the participants. We start with 2 students per wingsurfing set. An instructor has a maximum of 2 sets under his supervision. This means that you get lessons with a maximum of 4 people.

At which locations in Zeeland do you teach wingsurfing?

The wingsurfing lessons take place on the Veerse Meer or, if conditions allow, at sea. All lessons take place around our surf school.

Can I shower at your place after the wingsurfing lesson?

Yes, we do! We have four hot showers that you can use for free as a student.

How can I pay?

Payment can be made in cash or with a normal debit card. Unfortunately, payment by credit card is not yet possible.

What if there is no wind?

The day before the scheduled wingsurfing lesson we will have contact. You will receive a message before 19:00 with a GO if the forecasts are good! Are the forecasts for the next day not good? Then you will receive a message with a NO-GO. You can then pick a new day yourself with the help of our planning system.

How many lessons do I need to wingsurf independently?

The number of lessons you need depends on your talent for wingsurfing and previous board sports, sailing and/or surfing experience. The average student needs about 4 lessons of 2,5 hours to be able to go on the water safely on his own. You are of course free to continue practising independently, because with us you are never tied to a package of lessons.

What is there to do for children/family/friends during my wingsurfing lesson?

Beach playground
In front of Vertigo Sports there is a large beach playground with, among others, a lighthouse with slide, cableway and water playground.

Shopping
On the beach you will find Vertigo Sports' shop with clothing from Roxy, Brunotti, Quiksilver, Mystic and others with bikinis, shirts, jumpers and windbreakers.

Chilling
De Dam's sun terrace is a great place to sit and enjoy the lunch menu or a drink. The roof terrace is highly recommended on a sunny day. Not so good weather? Inside, the fireplace is lit and you can sit back with a hot chocolate.

I have already had lessons at another wingsurfing school, can I continue with you?

Yes! When you sign up, tell us the level you were at last time and we can continue from there. Our instructors always adjust the lessons to the level of the participants.

Where can I stay within walking distance of the wingsurfing spot?

Breezand Beachhouses
On the beach of Vrouwenpolder there are a number of beach houses, less than 50 metres away from our kite surfing school (highly recommended!).
